Join us in the newly renovated Sculpture Garden this summer for a guided garden and art tour. Participants will explore the beauty of the Sculpture Garden’s plantings while also discovering the outdoor artworks on display. This collaborative program features a special tour led by representatives of the Caudatowa Garden Club and Ridgefield Garden Club, who will provide insight into the plantings and landscaping of the Sculpture Garden.

Throughout the tour, Aldrich Educators will be on hand to provide additional context and commentary on the work included in the exhibition, A Garden of Promise and Dissent. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn about the Sculpture Garden’s design, and engage with contemporary art!

A Garden of Promise and Dissent is on view through April 12, 2026 and is curated by Amy Smith-Stewart, Diana Bowes Chief Curator.

About The Organizers

Caudatowa Garden Club is a group of like-minded men and women who enjoy gardening. We get together to garden and share information about flower and vegetable gardening, pollinator gardens and native plants, new varieties of plants, and all things gardening. We care about the environment and making Ridgefield a beautiful place to live. We invite gardeners who share our interests to join us. For more information, please visit caudatowa.com

Organized in 1914, and with roots dating back to the nineteenth century, the Ridgefield Garden Club is one of the oldest organizations in our community. The purpose of the club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening; to aid in the protection of natural resources, native plants, and wildlife; and to encourage civic improvements. The club is a diverse mix of active and dynamic members. We are young parents and grandparents, empty nesters and singles, artists and designers, master gardeners and novice gardeners, conservationists, farmers, community and school volunteers, town officials, business owners and teachers. You can find more about the club and what we do at ridgefieldgardenclub.org.

The Pollinator Pathway unites landowners in countering the detrimental effects of habitat loss on biodiversity by creating public and private pesticide-free corridors of native plants and nutrition for pollinating insects and birds. Its mission is to inspire, educate, and support local communities working together to restore and connect habitat for pollinators. The Ridgefield Pollinator Pathway is a community-driven collaboration among the Caudatowa Garden Club, Norwalk River Watershed Association, NRVT, RACE, Ridgefield Conservation Commission, Ridgefield Garden Club, Ridgefield Parks and Recreation, Ridgefield Public Library, and the Woodcock Nature Center—all working together with the incredible support of the Ridgefield community.
