Create art with your loved ones inspired by the process of remembering! Together, we will make collaborative, mixed media pieces inspired by Howardena Pindell (b. 1943): an American artist featured in 52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone who suffers from memory loss due to a traumatic car accident. She uses art as a therapeutic modality, incorporating canvas, weaving, postcards, and standard hole-punching to help release memories. Experience Pindell’s step-by-step creative approach with Education Manager and artist Lorena Sferlazza in the Museum’s Studio. Advance registration required; all materials provided onsite.
All ages welcome
