The Museum is closed for installation and will reopen on June 6.
Visit the Museum for FREE the third Saturday of every month. Participate in a Story Time at 10:30 am, a family-friendly tour of 52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone at 1 pm, and drop-in to The Studio for a guided family-friendly art-making activity from 12 noon to 4 pm.
Explore! Studio Activity: “Under the Surface” with Howardena Pindell
Explore the metaphorical, mixed media art-making processes of Howardena Pindell in this self-guided activity with prompts shared in The Studio! Pindell’s practice, featured in 52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone, constructs and deconstructs material surfaces through texture, shape, line, and color, to reflect on the intersections of homelessness, AIDS, war, genocide, sexism, xenophobia, and apartheid. All ages are welcome to participate, free with admission during Museum hours.
Generous support for Third Saturdays is provided by The Ridgefield Thrift Shop, Fairfield County Bank, and The Cowles Charitable Trust.
