Art of the 1970’s and 80’s

The old truism which proposed “the only permanence is change” continues to be evident in avant-garde art of the recent past and present mood. The selection of artists in this exhibition is not an attempt to survey the art scene of the 1970s and 1980s, but rather to present artists who were representative of the time, and perhaps a little ahead of it.

Artists: Walter Darby Bannard, Jared Bark, Mary Bauermeister, Fletcher Benton, David Budd, Mariano de Blas, Oded Halahmy, James Havard, Ed Kerns, Jack Lembeck, Jackie Lipton, Alice Phillips, Claire Seidl, David Ahlstead, Tony Bechara, Peter Bradley, Dan Christensen, Colette, Inessa De, Martha Diamond, Porfirio DiDonna, Valentina Dubasky, Biff Elrod, Bruce Everett, John A.
