For 60 years, The Aldrich has offered first museum exhibitions for emerging or mid-career artists, first career surveys of underrepresented artists, and group exhibitions that offer unique perspectives on issues relevant to the world around us. Aldrich exhibitions are accompanied by publications, often the artist’s first, and many shows feature the debut of new bodies of work.
A gift to the Exhibitions Fund supports The Aldrich’s significant curatorial program, which allows artist’s to create deep and insightful exhibitions and projects that will have a lasting impact within the field and the world beyond.
As an artist-centered institution, The Aldrich is guided by the belief that artists are innovative thinkers, who offer unique perspectives on our world. Learning at The Aldrich engages visitors of all ages with artworks and ideas from these artists, fostering a public space for critical discourse.
A gift to the Education Fund supports waived admission, educator-led tours, and free busing for Title 1/At-Risk students from an area ranging from the Bronx, NY to New Haven, CT; monthly free admission days for our visitors; and enriching public programs including panel discussions and artist talks, commissioned performances, screenings, and hands-on workshops.
The Aldrich Annual Fund is a critical financial resource that supports the daily operations of the Museum. From facilities and exhibitions to programs and staffing, annual support from our donors keeps the Museum’s doors open and allows The Aldrich to realize its mission as a leading incubator for artists at critical creative junctures, providing a collaborative platform that engages and inspires.
A gift to the Annual Fund goes directly where it is needed most一 to the artists, educators, and staff that make everything we do possible.
The Aldrich recently broke ground on a significant reimagining of its Sculpture Garden which will unite the Museum’s three-acre campus, expanding what artists are able to realize at The Aldrich and offering more green space for our community to enjoy. Free and open to the public 365 days a year from dawn till dusk, the new Garden will include a Pollinator Walkway, Boardwalk, a Secret Garden, and an Amphitheater which will provide a natural venue for The Aldrich’s presentation of dance, music, and school and community programs.
A gift to the Sculpture Garden Capital Campaign and Inaugural Programming will help the Museum create and sustain a beautiful, universally inclusive, and accessible space designed for engagement with works of art for our community.
