In The Flesh

In the Flesh, an exhibit of eleven contemporary artists, takes as its subject the body’s skin as a boundary, a container, a barrier, and a place from which both external and internal perceptions may spring. The body’s vulnerability is evoked in the assembled work; yet a primary attention to the formal and sensual quality of materials marks a turning away from the social construction of self towards its manifestation through the medium itself.
