Inside Out: Psychological Self-Portraiture

Self-portraiture has been a ubiquitous fixture of art throughout history, but little has been open and as revealing as the work we see here. In self portraiture artists remove the psychic masks in diverse, innovative ways. Over half the artists in Inside Out are women, which speaks to one reason why psychological self-portraiture seems such an important recent trend.
