Roughly translated from the Quechua language of the Peruvian Andes, Killamanta Kutimusaq means “to the moon and back.” Used as a title to summarize a remarkable body of work by artist Jennifer Zackin, it hints at not only the cosmology of the Andean Q’ero people who inspired it, but also the remoteness of Zackin’s journey.
