Politeness Counts is a 7-foot- tall aluminum sculpture constructed to look like a brown paper shopping bag installed on the Museum lawn. The images of flowers, cornucopia and snowflakes represent the transition from September to January. "Thank You" the acknowledgment of the harvest and coming holidays. Curator Jessica Hough explains, “the Museum chooses pieces that are challenging yet acceptable…that satisfy drive and walk-by viewers as well as regular museum goers”.
