Playing Off Time: Contemporary Photographers in Dialogue with the Past

No matter what we think about photography we can generally agree that it freezes a moment. For Playing Off Time a handful of archival photographs of locations surrounding the Aldrich Museum served as starting points for the investigations of twelve contemporary artists who have interests in concepts of place, time, or history.
