Thanks to a generous gift by Brown Jordan, visitors are welcome to enjoy the Walter Lamb Collection by Brown Jordan throughout the Museum’s outdoor spaces.
In 1948, Brown Jordan founder Robert Brown collaborated with designer Walter Lamb to create a collection that ingeniously repurposed the bronze and brass piping and cotton rope from the sunken ships in Pearl Harbor. Celebrated for its graceful, free flowing curves, the Walter Lamb Bronze collection became an icon of the mid-century modern design era. In 2019, the collection was reimagined and reissued in modern, long-lasting materials like aluminum frame and polypropylene rope. 2023, marks the 75th anniversary of this legendary collection.
