Performance: Gossip by Alexa West

General Registration
Gossip is a choreographed duet created in response to the current exhibition Loie Hollowell: Space Between, A Survey of Ten Years. Choreographed and presented by dance artist Alexa West performed by Owen Prum and Chelsea Enjer Hecht. Gossip will occur as a live performance in the Museum’s first floor on Saturday, June 22 at 2 pm and repeated at 4 pm.
This performance is organized by Education Director Namulen Bayarsaihan and Chief Curator Amy Smith-Stewart.
Loie Hollowell: Space Between, A Survey of Ten Years is organized by The Aldrich’s Chief Curator Amy Smith-Stewart and currently on view in the galleries through August 11, 2024.
Alexa West Bio
Alexa West (b. 1991) is a dance artist based in New York City. West studied both dance and sculpture and makes performances that incorporate material sensibilities across the two disciplines. West holds an MFA at the Milton Avery School of Art at Bard College and her work was presented in the 2023 Performa Biennial. West is a co-founder of Pageant, a performance venue in Brooklyn, NY.
